The following sub events will be offered at the Working Week 2025:

Reference Frames in Practise (RFIP)

Date: Saturday 5 April & Sunday 6 April
Time:  TBC 
Location: Rydges South Bank (next to BCEC)
Fee: $175
Includes: tea and coffee, lunch on Saturday.  Morning Tea on Sunday.

The main focus is on reference frames in general with a specific focus on UN initiatives, global and regional frames as well selected national case studies.

The technical seminar is aimed at surveyors, spatial professionals, students and operational geodesists who are interested in learning more about practical aspects of reference frames from some of the world’s leading geodesists and geodetic surveyors.

Exploring ICESat-2 Data: Applications in Elevation Mapping, Water Height, and Beyond

Date: Saturday 5 April
Time:  TBC  (3 hour workshop)

This workshop will demonstrate the effective use of ICESat-2 data for diverse geospatial applications, including elevation mapping, water height analysis, bathymetry, and more. Participants will gain hands-on experience with reading, downloading, customizing, and visualizing ICESat-2 data for their specific use cases.

Participants will leave with practical skills in ICESat-2 data utilization, ready to apply these methods to their projects in surveying, hydrography, and environmental management.

Climate Masterclass

Date: Sunday 6 April
Time:  TBC  (3 hour workshop)
Location: Rydges South Bank (next to BCEC)
Fee: $50
This Masterclass will showcase the depth and breadth of climate's link with the work surveyors do, with a practical, engagement-focused approach. Join us for a series of short presentations which showcase various aspects of climate and surveying, followed by interactive discussion where we map out what areas are and aren't being worked on in the space.
