Call for Papers
 

GENERAL


The overall theme of the Congress is “Engaging the Challenges – Enhancing the Relevance”, within the context of the FIG Work Plan for 2011 - 2014 that has a vision to extend the use and usefulness of the Profession for the betterment of society, environment and economy towards a world that we want.

The technical programme will include a broad professional and scientific programme: during 4 consecutive days, offering up to 10 parallel sessions and workshops. This will allow more than 700 presentations in the entire broadness of the surveying profession. The carefully prepared Technical Programme will offer both specially invited high profile presentations and papers that are selected through the open call for papers procedure.

FIG Congress 2014 is the main event for all ten FIG technical commissions. Therefore proposals for papers are requested in all topics of interest of the following commissions:

3. Spatial Information Management - FIG commission 3
4. Hydrography - FIG commission 4
5. Positioning and Measurement - FIG commission 5

Papers are also invited on the areas of three FIG Task Forces: Surveyors and Climate Change; Property and Housing; and the FIG Africa Task Force. In addition papers on the History of Surveying and Measurement (Permanent Institution of FIG) are welcome.
